This classic American fairy tale tells the story of a young girl who is taken to the land of Oz during a powerful tornado and set on a journey to find her way back home. When Dorothy arrives in Oz she is almost immediately celebrated and helped by the Good Witch of the North. Along her journey to the Emerald City to meet the powerful Wizard of Oz, Dorothy meets and befriends the memorable Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Cowardly Lion who are all hoping to receive help from the Wizard. Each of her new friends longs for something they think they lack, such as courage, wisdom, and a heart capable of love, but along their journey they inadvertently demonstrate these very characteristics. Faced with dangers and struggles on their way, the four travelers must demonstrate courage and remain steadfast until finally reaching the Emerald City.
