Beautifully illustrated with jewel toned paintings, this work is a compilation of seventeen parables told by Jesus. Adapted for children by dePaola, these parables include familiar stories such as The Prodigal Son, The Mustard Seed, The Good Samaritan, and the Lost Sheep. Also included are somewhat lesser known parables such as The Sower, The Laborers in the Vineyard, The Weeds and the Wheat, and more. Parables are presented in a simple but lyrical way and without added interpretation, making this a wonderful source for sharing these Biblical tales and lessons.
